The Tufts University European Center staff is committed to creating a supportive community and ensuring a rich and engaging experience for all students.

Why would I participate in the Tufts in Talloires Program if we can’t go to France?

There are excellent reasons why you should participate in the Tufts in Talloires program!

  1. This year, the Tufts in Talloires program will offer you the opportunity to take a Tufts course in a highly concentrated format, allowing you to complete a full course and earn accompanying Tufts credit within a three-week period.
  2. Tufts in Talloires features Tufts courses that have been adapted to provide you with a uniquely international learning experience. Your Tufts in Talloires course will integrate global voices and perspectives to broaden and deepen your view of the subject matter.
  3. The Tufts in Talloires program will provide an additional credit-bearing course through the ExCollege that will focus on French life and culture, and that will explore issues of identity, history, and society.
  4. The Tufts University European Center will organize and host optional cultural and social events throughout the program, creating a space for students to connect outside of class.

What will the Tufts Summit Program look like in a virtual format?

Our Tufts Summit program will provide a lively introduction to the study of International Relations and aanimated and interactive approach to developing French language skillsClasses will meet synchronously online, and will also include an asynchronous element to allow students to self-pace their learning. Organized online activities and a guided exploration of French culture and society will accompany the academic coursework.
