Classes are taught at a French language Institute in Annecy, located just a few miles north of Talloires, by native French speakers who are experts in developing speaking listening, grammar, writing and reading skills. Tufts in Annecy offers students credits for Tufts French 1, 2, 3 OR 4 class.
Tufts Summit (high school, rising juniors and seniors, for enrichment):
The Tufts Summit program is designed to offer a select group of rising high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take a non-credit college-level course on International Relations, while being immersed in French language and culture. Classes are complemented by an excursion to Geneva, and students also enjoy a host of extracurricular activities like hiking and swimming. Students live with carefully selected host families, most often with another student. Students learn first-hand about local daily life and culture, by sharing meals, conversations and outings with their host families, which goes well beyond what can be learned from a textbook.
