Consider proposing a course for the 2024 Tufts in Talloires Program!

The Tufts University European Center invites Faculty to consider proposing a course for the 2024 Tufts in Talloires program.

Tufts in Talloires is the European Center’s summer semester program in Talloires, France. For over 40 years, the Tufts in Talloires program has offered undergraduate students the opportunity to take Tufts classes from Tufts professors in an extraordinary Tufts environment. The program takes place at the historic Tufts European Center, an 11th century former Benedictine Priory founded in 1018, and located in Talloires, a small village in the foothills of the French Alps, on the banks of Lake Annecy, in the Savoy region of France, just an hour’s drive from Geneva, Switzerland. It is a truly remarkable setting, one that enhances both teaching and learning.

Faculty from all disciplines are welcome to propose a course. Proposed courses must offer approved undergraduate credit and must include a rationale for being taught in Talloires in the form of a thematic relation to Talloires, the Haute Savoie region, France, and/or the larger European Community. Completed course proposals are due no later than 5 pm on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. Ten courses representing a variety of disciplines will be selected from among the submitted proposals.

Information about the Tufts in Talloires program and the Tufts European Center can be found on our website. Note: Once you submit your course proposal, your department chair will automatically be sent a Department Approval Form to review and approve your course proposal.
